She moved her first centre from a resident house to 1 First Avenue in 2012, opened her second centre at BU4 in 2013 and third centre at Kota Damansara in 2015. Her mission to help working mothers and passion in promoting breastfeeding has encouraged her to open up centres near to office buildings. Her vision is to create a professional childcare centre that is specialised in taking care of young children from 2 months onward. She has 3 core targets in mind for her childcare centre: professionalism, promote breastfeeding, transparency.

Ms Yew has three professional teams to support the operation of Cutie Cottage®. There are the nurses, the educators and the supporters.

The nurses have at least diploma in nursing and are registered with the Lembaga Jururawat Malaysia (LJM). Nurses are compulsory to attend in-house Level 1 and Level 2 Training. Besides getting qualified staff, Cutie Cottage uses Early Year Foundation Stage, England as the curriculum framework. The weekly activities include manipulative activities, science and maths, early literacy, art & craft, sensory play that target to achieve the seven areas of learning in the EYFS framework.

Promote breastfeeding

In order to support breastfeeding, parents are welcome to bring breast milk or walk-in to breastfeed their babies at the centre.

Ms Yew believes that a childcare centre should be transparent. She welcomes parents to visit the centre (as long it does not disrupt the children activities).  She subscribes to online CCTV that allows parents to log in and view the centre anytime*.

The nurses would update the Daily Report and Milestone Progress Report. The centre subscribes LittleLives for the Educators to upload the children photos and prepare individual portfolio.
